
DIETARY PROTOCOLS
Here you will find helpful dietary guidelines and general protocols.
These will help you prepare for your ceremony.
This is your sacrifice and a huge part of your prayer.
THE DIETA
The preparation period prior to ceremony or “dieta” is a crucial part of getting the most out of your experience.
This is because the wisdom within the medicine speaks in divine subtleties.
These days, we are so overstimulated by day-to-day life that a large part of what this medicine tends to clear out is the excess “noise” before we can begin to receive the blessings.
We encourage everyone to put a great deal of effort into this process because it is like showing up to learn from a Master. Your temporary (or permanent) sacrifice is your offering to
the spirit of the medicine.
In life we move through cycles, whether it be daily, monthly, annually etc. When you partake in this sacrament it is like a fast-forward version of all of your cycles, reactions, impulses, & triggers in one single night. As you devote to change now the greater the chance of a deep reset & or life upgrade.
There is absolutely no judgment if there is some trouble with restraint, it is simply where you are at & you are accepted as you are.

2 WEEKS BEFORE
At least two weeks in advance (4 weeks prep is
recommended to fully detox your nervous system but only if you can):
Eat very light, meaning mainly fruit and vegetables, go light on salt, oil and exotic spices. Absolutely no MSG or any other questionable chemical additives that cause allergies and cloud the mind. If you can, switch to pure water (not city tap) without fluoride, chlorine and all the other chemicals and pollutants found in tap water. Try to cut out dairy and red meat, especially hormone laden factory farmed meats (may eat some chicken and fish periodically). Lower or completely cut out consumption of coffee, substitute chicory root, herbal teas or home made cacao. Cut out sugar and artificial sweeteners (use honey, maple syrup or stevia). Obviously no drugs or alcohol of any kind. If you smoke cannabis, start to ween off or stop completely; cannabis requires a solid 4 week detox (if you are able). Know that dieta includes everything you are consuming including news, social media, movies and shows, drama filled friends and family; basically if it causes upheaval and polarization within you - choose it wisely as it very well may be something you’ll need to spend time on and process in ceremony.
7 DAYS BEFORE
At least seven days in advance: No sex, acts of a sexual nature, or leaking of sexual energy. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to replenish your creative life force energy. Also the exchange of energy with another on this level may likely impact your journey as we tend to absorb the other’s ‘stuff’. Remember you want to be fully charged with your own prana that you have been cultivating all these weeks through nourishing live foods and by tapping into yourself (meditation and your own creative practices that fill up the heart
and quiet the mind).
At this point all caffeine, even the caffeine coming from cacao, chocolate and teas should be removed from your diet. As well as the consumption of cannabis, alcohol & other mind altering/stimulating substances. Further minimize the use of oil and salt. Cut out all other spices that create ‘noise’ (such as cayenne, curry, etc.) that may interfere with the subtle spirit of the medicine.
Optional: cut out onion and garlic.
GOOD THINGS TO EAT
Fruits, vegetables, potatoes, squash, pumpkin, nuts, chicken, fish, eggs, grains such as quinoa, teff, millet, oatmeal.
It is not necessary to cut out salt and sugar, but you may do this
if you are deciding to sacrifice to this degree.
